Dangerous Scenario

How hard would it be for a personnnel supervisor to wipe out an employee's checking account if this employee decided to enroll in direct deposit? In the companies that I have worked for, you need a voided check to initiate a direct deposit account. Who's to say that a corrupt personnel manager could not use the account number and routing number to purchase online items. Am I watching too much CSI? Or am I right in concluding doing things like this are very easy? Tell me what you think.

The Athleticism and Sex Appeal

A man with ultra-athleticism is a woman with ultra-sex appeal. Most NFL fans don’t think great athletes like Randy Moss have a high football IQ. The theory is that if you have that type of physical ability you don’t need knowledge of the game to perform at a very high level. Many people laughed at New England's head coach Bill Bellichick for making the comment that Randy Moss is the "smartest player" that he ever coached. I can hear people say to themselves, “Oh come on! Randy Moss is not a great player because he is smart about the game, he is a great player because he can rely on his athleticism.”

A hot woman who is perceived to be intelligent is met with shock. The assumption is that there is no reason for a hot woman to be intelligent since she has the ability to attract men. Both these views are logical but limited. Some great athletes can recognize that if they pursue strong knowledge of the game, they can be legendary. Michael Jordan is perfect example. Some gorgeous women can realize that if they become talented and sophisticated, they increase their value in the professional and dating communities over women who rely only on their looks. It is taught that women should have an independent identity. Thus, even if it were true that most perceived gorgeous women seek affluent men, they also desire an independent identity. A woman who simply relies on her looks to seek out men especially is viewed as being dependent on men. I think these other theories make IQ proportionately equal in athletes of various degrees of athletic ability and proportionately equal in women of various degrees of perceived sex appeal.
